Son | Are we there yet? |
Dad | No son, it’s just around the corner. |
Son | Oh! Okay dad. |
Time passes. | |
Son | Are we there yet? |
Dad | No son. As I told you, it’s just around the corner. Now stop asking. |
Son | But I’m tired, we’ve been walking for ages. |
Dad | You’ve only been walking for an hour. Now come on, get a move on. |
Son | But my feet hurt. |
Dad | Stop complaining, anyone would think you had been walking for miles. |
Son | It feels like miles. |
Time passes. | |
Son | Are we there yet? |
Dad | NO! Now stop asking. Stop whinging and get a move on. That snail will be taking you over soon. |
Son | But he hasn’t been walking as long as us. His legs don’t hurt. |
Dad | Stop whinging. Look it’s only around the corner. |
Son | You said that this morning. |
Dad | Yes. And I was right this morning. |
Son | Can’t we have a rest? |
Dad | Come on, we are nearly there. |
Son | Dad? |
Dad | Yes son? |
Son | I wish we weren’t tortoises. |
Dad | Why is that son? |
Son | We would have been around this corner hours ago. |
